About Dr Hannah Rouse

Hannah is an experienced subspecialist radiologist, teacher, and mentor who prides herself on high-quality diagnostic and procedural work.

Hannah studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours. She completed her Radiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She undertook subspecialty fellowship training in Australia and Overseas: Breast Imaging at St Vincent’s BreastScreen, Body Imaging and Intervention at St Paul’s Hospital (Vancouver, Canada) and Chest Imaging at The Royal Brompton Hospital (London, England).

Hannah returned to work as a consultant radiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and BreastScreen St Vincent’s in 2007. Her areas of interest and expertise are lung and breast imaging and image-guided procedural work. Hannah is currently the Director of Thoracic Imaging in the Medical Imaging Department and is the lead radiologist for the Respiratory, Interstitial Lung Disease and Lung Cancer Multidisciplinary meetings.

Hannah is the co-founder and treasurer of the Victorian Society of Thoracic Radiology (VicSTI) and is on the Australian and New Zealand Society of Thoracic Radiology (ANZSTR) executive committee. Over the course of her career, Hannah has authored numerous published research papers and has presented at national and international meetings.

Hannah has a keen interest in teaching and mentoring junior doctors. She is a Director of Radiology Training, the coordinator of the St Vincent’s radiology registrar tutorial program, and a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Hannah is also an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).

Hannah excels in her interactions with patients and co-workers of all craft groups and likes to work closely with referrers to ensure that their clinical question is answered. Hannah particularly enjoys her role in patient diagnosis and management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
