About Dr Melanie Seale

Dr Melanie Seale MBBS (Hons) FRANZCR studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne and completed Radiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She spent 12 months as an Abdominal Imaging Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA, subsequently returning to St Vincent’s, where she has been a consultant since 2009.  She has broad general experience in diagnostic radiology, including MRI, with a special interest in abdominal imaging, particularly liver, colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease imaging. She also practices breast imaging and is a reader for St Vincent’s BreastScreen.

Melanie established and oversees Peer Review meetings in the Medical Imaging Department, has been a past Director of Training, has an ongoing interest in trainee education and is an examiner for RANZCR fellowship exams.
